Now let’s RECAP a little of last night shall we?
NOVEMBER 8, 2009-
The Jay-Z concert featuring opening acts J.Cole, Wale, and N.E.R.D. totally kicked off my 21st birthday week in a good way. N.E.R.D. kind of kicked it off, mostly because the stands were more full by the time they came out, and got the crowd going crazy. The got some girls to go on stage and this beezy at the end of the song went up to give Pharrell a kiss. His reaction cracked me up; he totally played it cool lol.
At around 9:30, Jay-Z came out strong. He sang a lot of the new songs off The Blueprint 3 album (if you don’t got it, then getting it is a must!); Just to give a mini playlist, he sang D.O.A., Empire State of Mind, A Star is Born, Onto the the Next One, Young Forever rag swishin’ Big Pimpin, Jigga, cameos with Rihanna in Run This Town and her solo song Hard, and then Mr. Pharrell with So Ambitious, Thank You, Encore….and seriously, the list goes on!
All in all, a grand performance & concert, one that I will never forget! If you’ve never been to a Jay-Z concert, then going is MUST! I guarantee you will not be disappointed!!!!
